Crystalline Cavern

By fluidvolt on Aug 9, 2011 8:07 am

Firstly, I'll admit this one might be pushing the limits of what is expected here but here goes. This is a composition made entirely with a single 1bit sample from Beepola (Special FX engine). The goal here was to free that 1bit sample from its former shackles so to speak, so I composed and arranged a piece in a somewhat orchestral style (with a special attention to dynamics). I didn't keep track of the channel count, but I'd guess it's something like ~10. Experimental, but I'd still like to know what you guys think.

Hey thanks Moviemovies1, I appreciate your comment, I'm surprised you stumbled onto this old thing smile .

This is a very beautiful tune you made, fluidvolt. So many interesting notes. I can say nothing more.
Wonderful work smile

Melodic with nice atmosphere. Sounds like intro, I'd expect the tune evolve at point where was its end :] I have good feeling about this tune.

Thanks, I'm glad you thought it was a success! Haha, maybe I went a little overboard with the chromaticism in the B section wink . I'll see if I can whip something up for the compo, sounds like fun.

whoa, that's a very nice and unique flavor of sound, like some weird fm stuff... the pads are awesome. the melody around 1:10 confuses me a bit. but otherwise a wonderful experiment. btw don't forget to send a track to yerzmyey's  beeper compo.
