Hey there! This seems to be the correct place to introduce myself, so here goes nothing:

I'm relatively new to the chiptune scene, but I've been making electronic music and playing shows for a few years now under a long list of different names.  That said, I'm really excited to be here and psyched to get to know everyone and listen to all of your music!

I don't think there's anything wrong with introducing yourself. It's a good way to get a feel for the community's hospitality and it's a way to join without just starting posting in random threads and hoping you don't get ignored.
