Yes, much consternation! Have you tried playing or downloading the songs using a modded gameboy? They seem to be more keenly discussed than the aforementioned music in any case.

I've spliced a lan cable to my gameboy link cable and plugged it into the link port but still no success. Would adding leds behind the speaker grill possibly solve this problem?

I've got the email cartridge hooked up to my DSL modem, I too am having issues pulling up music. I think if I try playing the songs through a tube amp on my Gameboy things will sound much better once they fix this no-music thing.
