I was wondering if any knew any good drawing software for a sort of old IBM Thinkpad. Its got like Windows XP and either 512 Mb or 1 Gb of RAM, 40 gb hard drive. Is there any good programs that don't need too much processor power to run?

Thanks

512mb whyyyy?

No, but seriously... Have you tried Paint.Net? That's pretty nice. Some things can be slow, but it's always nice to have on your system.

Yeah I know 512 mb sux. I got it for like 12 bucks. I traded my friend a large pizza for it. I should prob buy some RAM. The model is X41 btw.

EDIT: I tried Paint.NET on it. I only monkey'd with it for 30 mins. Didn't get much slow down.

Just in case... http://iloveui.com/pixelart.html

And like few guys said... use Grafx2, maybe Paint (not Paint.net) should run on that too.
I think GraphicGale also run in XP as well Promotion.

Hope this help, sorry for the late anwser big_smile

If you want to go nuts, try out MyPaint. It's really quite nice IMO, although not exactly the thing for pixel art. But it does OK for me. Here is something I made with it:

I have run it on an IBM Thinkpad T22 which IIRC is even more weaksauce than your machine, and it did OK.
