Too much awesomeness at one time. First genMDM and now this. You guys are putting me in debt! :3

I just need to clean the documentation up, that's all!

big_smile so looking forward to this. thanks for all the hard work!

Just thought I would bring this up:

Some of us i imagine will be putting these carts within an enclosure (some sport game nobody plays or something probably) and maybe it would look pretty cool with a label on it that says in Little Scales patented font GENMDM and on the spine (top) it could say LITTLE SCALE (ofc in that same font). Now I could give this a shot in photoshop but I am not a designer really... Let me know what you guys think. Ill try and make one and if it is half way decent I will post it.

If someone with half way decent design skills wants to give this a shot please do and post here! maybe there could be a few labels up here and people can decide to print the one they want for their GENMDM cart smile

Just thought it would be cool. Let me know your thoughts. Only issue right now is figuring out the measurements of the label for creating such a thing.

I want...

another question: will there be any functional differences between the 5 pin and usb version? also how far off would the 5 pin be from production?

hmm. well still interested in getting both nomad and first gen. thanks for the info. and im sure my universal power adapter will work fine for it.

So how does the Nomad fare sound wise? I was considering purchasing a Nomad for the interface.

also are there any mods required for this to work? is there a controller port on the nomad? how about a line out mod? thanks for any info.

EDIT: the sound of the Nomad is really good apparently. just not from the headphone jack due to a hum. answered my own question wanna fight about it?

Well I am excited. thanks guys! Consider this thread a success big_smile

Well I am no musician. Hell I am still learning basic theory (Got a decent book on it). So when I make it I do it entirely in medium. However since I do not have a solid understanding of the basics I tend to have a lot of trash or "almosts" or "could have been awesomes" that never get recorded. I have not touched anything musical in so long but I am getting back into it..... My usual process is basically put 4 or 5 notes evenly across a loop/pattern/phrase/whathaveyou. keep looping it and altering it until I feel like the note combo is giving me the right "feel" this takes me about 5 minutes. At that point I then just start trying to create a melody. This whole process ofc makes making music for me extremely time consuming. Which is why I am reading about theory whenever I get a free moment.

I never bothered reading about theory, 90% of my musical knowledge was picked up by ear. My dad taught me a small amount (some guitar chords, and the minor pentatonic scale) but besides that, I learned everything through trial and error over the course of about 10 years.. Hah, maybe reading about theory could have streamlined that process a little, though I like the path I've taken, it's resulted in a distinct melodic style (that I can't seem to avoid)..

Thanks man. Makes me feel better haha.

Wow Tracker VSTi? crazy cool. Alright I am really glad to hear about Seq24. Sounds like exactly what I want. What I am wondering is if you can assign CC messages to knobs in it (like on an apc20). Is it possible?

I think the issue with the long URLs in facebook has to do with the amount of fans you have... if you only have a few (under 20-40ish I think I heard... something or other...) then you are not eligible. Once you break a certain number then you can have your chance here: http://www.facebook.com/username/ ofc this was all said before but just wanted to clarify just in case.

Anyways here is my facebook page if you would like to 'like' it: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rei-Yano/112975242090698

And here is my actual facebook account if you would like to 'friend' me or whatever (I am not super active at all but eventually I should have some new shit): http://www.facebook.com/yanorei

I have personally used the Mega Memory Card method with good results.

Oh yeah... Reaper. I will give that one a shot too. The guy that made Winamp made Reaper if memory serves.

sweet. never heard of duplex. I will start with Renoise but dont have the cash for it just yet. I think they have a demo version tho.

Yeah but shit how awesome would it be?

I will give renoise a shot. Thanks I did not even consider that program.
