Announced today, the next version of BGB will contain super-accurate Gameboy emulation on the transistor level and a CPU viewer to see what's going on inside the CPU. Pretty cool.

AWESOME o.o

Will it emulate different revisions of gb CPU?
We all know CPU 6 has the best wave channel, but CPU1 has interesting noise glitches.

We're those revisions of the CPU or motherboard?

well, looks like the info about the CPU viewer on the BGB website got taken off, so i guess there's the answer.  boo!

would have been nice though, i remember reading a couple of articles about how in order to have a 100% accurate emulation there are devs who are trying to model the physical properties of a CPU's circuit pathways (which would require insane amounts of CPU power to simulate).

There isn't really any... I lied.

Although some say CPU 1 doesn't really work well with wave channel.
Other than that, you probably need professional equipment to find a difference.

DMG-CPU-01,02 and 03 all have wave track "glitches". Samples have a ton of distortion over them. I've sure you could actually make some cool sounds with it but for just drums it's useless. Certain waveforms will have different levels of distortion as well. I have a whole pile of these because I can't sell them in orders.
