Hi doooooooooodz.

Well, the 1-bit micromusic isn't as popular as 4-bit / 8bit stuff (Gameboys, Ataris, Amigas and Spectrums with AY, whatevah).

Sometimes for 1-bit musicians it's even a little hard to find useful infos. Or they dunno whom to ask about it (soft, hardware etc).

Hence we stated we would like to TRY to establish a forum for 1-bit / BEEPER musicians:
http://1bit.i-demo.pl/

We don't know if the area will be alive or dead, but well - let's try at least. Also all fans/listeners of 1-bit are invited.
Regardless we're talkin'bout BEEPOLA, 1Tracker, other ZX Spectrum stuff, Timex computers, Texas Instruments calculators, old IBM PC machines or ATARIs (PortFolio, XL/XE).

So - that's our idea. Will it survive? We will see. And - hear. wink

Byezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,
Y

While I'd probably find it hard to contribute anything outside of the odd 1-bit entry for occasional compos/botb ohc's, I guess I could get on board with this ;D It might be worth sharing this on botb as well, as that community seems to be slowly building its own repertoire of "1-bit" music composers (and good ones at that).

In case nobody knows, there's a 1 bit blog that shiru maintains every now and again; http://shiru.untergrund.net/1bit/

Fearofdark, Egr:
we'd be honoured if You'd like to join us. smile
Ah, and Fear - if You'd be so kind to let those guys know too, it would be really splendid. I dunno - maybe it might be interesting for them.

Gotoandplay:
Thx a lot, I already posted there the info mentioned by You.

I made this song using the Beepola tracker:

yes, it's really easy to pick up Beepola or 1tracker. It just takes a bit of patience to make something good.

UncleBibby, that's pretty neat for a start! Join the 1-bit forum and make some more smile

1bit the only truebit

I'm in the same boat as Fearofdark on this one.

Also I might add I really enjoy the workflow in Beepola when using the SpecialFX engine. So much more conducive to attention to composition :3

So, after several weeks the 1-bit / BEEPER forum seems to be stable in a technical way, it has already some crew of users and - I think - interesting infos, news and songs.
So this time I don't invite You to the raw place wink but to the mature forum. wink
There are programmers - authors of trackers and engines, musician and also fans of this kind of chiptunes. A pretty good source of some -1bit good, I'd say. wink
