Hi guys,

We'll be on a FR/UK tour in November (live band + samples + VJing), and since we'll play in different types of venues, we're considering buying a video projector so we won't be dependent of the venues' equipment.
Is anyone aware of different types/specs, and what works best for live projection, especially in not-so-big venues ?
We are looking for a rather polyvalent one (adaptable to different venue sizes if possible), at a moderate cost since our budget isn't very high. I don't think we need a very high image quality. I found some clues on Ableton Live Forums but I'd like to have some advice from chipmusicians since probably many of you have live video projections.

Thanks! smile

the important factors are brightness and contrast ratio... i wouldn't go below 2000 lumens and definitely not below 1000:1 contrast ratio (though beating either of these isn't too hard).. if you arent doing HD, something like this will do just fine

Thanks man, we're looking into this !
We'll probably buy this one or another similar one.
