JodyBigFoot, that's an interesting way of looking at it. I had decided upon several concepts to build soundtracks around. First up is a 16-bit style baseball game.

Next is a soundtrack for an action/beat-'em-up style game. I composed these five tracks in three days, in order to test my own efficiency.

Here are several dungeon themes.

Finally, an RPG soundtrack based around the concept of Phantasy Star II.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm using the king of music software, TuxGuitar. Everything else ...is child's play.

I took the liberty of checking out your channel on SoundCloud. You've got really unique and crazy chiptunes. I can tell you have a lot of fun coming up with your music.

So you used a particular VST in TuxGuitar?

Jansaw, thanks. I use soundfonts, such as the Yamaha S-YXG50, anything that works for the intended effect. There's a learning curve to becoming proficient with the program itself, to be sure, but I've developed workarounds over the years. As well, you can also export to MIDI and then work on those creations in another program of your choosing. With regards to music-creation, you are only limited by the tools available and your knowledge of how to maximize their potential.

Some people here - most I would assume - are adept with trackers, and hey, more power to them. But I find those too cumbersome.

Fudgers, heh, thanks. Hey, works for me.

Right, it's all about creating music, not the methodology or tools.

P.S.
Godzilla Dub and Nintempo are slick fun. Kudos.
