UPDATE: One of my Midines carts is sold, the remaining cart I'm selling is listed here, EDIT: SOLD

For those that don't know what a Midines is, from the dev page (now defunct):

MIDINES is a hardware / cartridge interface (NES game) that enables MIDI control of the 8bit NES sound chip. MIDINES allows the 8bit NES to join the ranks along side other retro gear in the professional MIDI recording studio. All MIDINES cartridges come with a built in NESFX visualizer, which is seeded by the incoming MIDI sound data. Your performances will come to life as NESFX generates vibrant glitched pixel patterns to the music!

These are the 1.1.0 versions of the cartridge, which means they are region locked for NTSC. ( sorry europe )= ) My auctions also come with a full printed instruction booklet and a midi adapter to convert the incoming connection from a male to female input if so desired (useful for connecting a midi to USB cable so you can connect your NES to your favorite tracker or sequencer).

Any idea what revision PCB is inside?

For example is it Memblers Squeedo flash board, or is it the custom one labeled 'MIDINES 2 R1'?

Not sure, any easy way to figure out via running the hardware/external checks? I'd imagine not, but also not sure I'd like to take apart the cart for fear of affecting the resale value. I bought them early when they were first put out back in.. 06-07 I believe, I was overseas at the time. This probably places it amongst the former board rather than the latter.

Yeah checking the dates, there's no way my carts are the 2 R1, those boards were put out sometime in 2009 after I had returned to the US.

Thats actually a plus in my view. The squeedo board ones are my favorite. They recover from stuck notes easier than the 2009 custom boards.

Thanks! I would honestly have priced them lower but I'm in a pretty bad situation and I'm trying to save up so I can move out of here.
Also wanted to say thanks to those who have made offers/are checking out my listings, no bids yet but I see a few watchers here and there now.

Yeah I was reading up on it this morning, I guess sometimes a revision has adverse effects like that. If you're checking the auction out on ebay, best of luck to you.

I'll keep checking up on this thread, might be adding a few more items to this listing (in the process of repairing a famicom anniversary edtn. Gameboy Micro, nintendo 64, and a nintendo 3DS)
