I just got done housing this gameboy in a new shell and everything was fine. I'd been using it off and on all day. I just turned it on to see this.

It might be worth mentioning that the front an back halves are from different gameboys.

Does it flicker if you press on the base lcd ribbon?

I pressed down on the lcd ribbon and a column about 1 pixel wide appeared off to the left. The pixel wide column will flicker on and off if I continue pressing.

Have you tried running a hot soldering iron across it?

Where would I run it across on the ribbon and can I do it while it's on?

Where the lad ribbon cable meets the lcd at the base. http://m.instructables.com/id/Restore-a … cal-Lines/

Ok thank you so much! However this is something I will have to attempt another day. I will bump this thread later.
