"Hello World" is a comprehensive double album of original music by the Super Marcato Bros. This loving homage to the music of Super Mario World 1 & 2 for the SNES is the ultimate tribute to the genius of Koji Kondo. The first volume: "Adventures in Mushroomland" aims to honor the legacy of the original game, while taking the listener to places never heard before in a Mario game. The second volume: "Journey to Dino Island" is inspired by the sequel "Yoshi's Island", and aims to capture the unique musical spirit of that beloved game. Sequenced with actual SNES samples, this double album aims to transport the listener to a world that is both familiar and entirely unique.

this is well-done & I'm impressed by the structural complexity of a lot of the pieces (an important element that's sometimes missing when people try to imitate SNES soundtracks). I feel like a lot of the tracks are basically just rewrites of tracks from the original games though - some of the arrangements are pretty much exactly the same, and even the melodies are kinda similar in places.

Thanks Brother Android! Well, our goal was to try to capture the spirit of Mario World, but write melodies that are new, and stand on their own. Obviously we tried to match the instruments and in many cases, the arrangements as closely as we could. But I do feel like we came up with very original melodies. We tried to show a side that you didn't get to hear in the original. But yeah, there are spots with similar melodic content. I agree. But in any case, thanks for listening, and sharing your thoughts!
