It moves the waveform up, and at FF it wraps around but with more noise. Why?

Because people want to be able to have manual control over the wavetable progression?

Maybe I'm over thinking it. I was just curious where it comes from/ what fun things people have done with it.

The resyn2 phase mode repeats thestart of the source waveform. This can create a waveform which has samples only on the top side. Careful use of vshift can center the waveform again. Less careful use can create some nice distorsion.

Thanks Nitro! OH I had always wondered how resyn2 worked! (but still not sure why one would use resyn2 over resync)

Another question I have is if vshift just moves the waveform up, then why at FF when it loops back around does it have the noisey overtones added?
