According to the BBcode we don't currently have this tag but I have seen it used really well to condense long informative posts into something a little more manageable. Totally off topic but for illustration purposes:

I made a little post in the general forum as a kind of into to chipmusic but I think it might be a little unwieldy, kind of a little to intimidating for new people but too lacking in detail for a reference thread and I think a show spoiler tag would ameliorate that issue.

For our purposes though, it would be cool if you could change the display text to "show hidden text" or something, but I wouldn't know how feasible that is.
