Hey, all:

Like the topic says, I need some help. I am planning on open sourcing pretty much all of the software I use for live visuals. In addition to that, I have some hardware NES projects as well.

So, if you're in the NYC area, and want to learn more about the NES, get in touch. Duties will include:
- cleaning up and commenting code
- writing and/or revising readme's
- packaging files together for distribution on the net
- soldering and working on development carts

It's gonna be a lot of work, but we'll be doing it together. Planning to work some at Eyebeam, in Chelsea, or my place in Bushwick.

What will you get out of it? If you pay attention, you will:
- learn about how the NES works and how basic software functions
- learn how to solder / desolder and how NES carts work

Please post here with more questions. Send me an e-mail or PM here if you're interested. Offer stands until I find someone!

Thanks,

Don / NO CARRIER

w00t - awesome!

the fact that you are working so hard on NES stuff that you actually have a need for an intern warms the cockles of my cold dead heart

this=amazing. What sort of time requirements are there for the intern?

I'm so jealous of this

Pretty flexible, depending on our individual schedules. Some work will / can be done together, where other stuff can happen apart with contact on AIM / e-mail.

I would move to NY just to learn that shit with Don.

Don, why are you in brooklyn? what is this.

agreed

can i do this over the net? :-)

Nick, I prefer a mix of in-person and over the net work.

Damn I'd jump at this in a heartbeat if I was in NY.

No Carrier can you direct me to some nice learning area ? I'd love to just try my way at a simple drum machine thing.

I did a bunch of tutorial on NES stuff for Playpower, so check them out: http://work.playpower.org/w/page/241223 … -Tutorials

Could this mean that we can work on our secret project again?
