iPhone Nanoloop Posse

STREAM IT or DOWNLOAD  --> http://tinyurl.com/iphonenanolooposse

It started out as a joke, but hey why not? In 2010, Oliver Wittchow ported his legendary chiptune sequencer 'Nanoloop' to iOS and Android with quite a few modifications / improvements, but since then it has yet to see wide utilization from artists in the scene. We put together this 'lil iPhone Nanoloop Posse to hopefully correct that! With a diverse international cast of chipmusic.org thread homies, this compilation showcases a wide range of genres, skillz and big soundz, all created with one little $2.99 app. Plz enjoy.

released 10 December 2011

Artists:
* Sylcmyk
* Br1ght Pr1mate
* Frostbyte
* Lagomorph
* DKSTR
* The Ghost Servant
* DJ Hollow Life

Mastered by James Primate
Album Art by Frostbyte

And thanks to Oliver Wittchow of course: http://nanoloop.com

i have to say, .sylcmyk is one of the new masters of modern nanoloop. I saw him play at The Brick a few months back and he totally blew away most of what i'd heard from that app. The track on this compilation confirms his awesomeness.

that would be massive! I'm really interested in hearing what people who aren't familiar with the software think about the sounds. I mean, its cool for us who have been working with it to hear the tricks and sneaky ways of getting sounds, but does it sound legit?

Teh Posse is doing really well download-wise, but I havent heard much feedback about the content. What do you guys who have heard it think: did we make the case for iLoop as a valid music making platform? Or are the sound constraints too obvious?

The fact that you can use it as a 4 track lofi sampler is awesome. Everybody did a good job in my opinion, my favourite track might be Lagomorphs!

The sound constraints are obvious but there are street musicians use recycled plastic containers and make hella-awesome drums out of it.

Everyone else's tracks are lovely and quite inspirational! heart
