We're proud to bring you this massive raw side of beef that nonifinte calls "Leo Drop"!

Nonfinite says:

"Leo Drop" was created on a rainy Sunday night in Madison, Wisconsin. This 100% improvised set holds the energy of a lone traveler reflecting on an iconic, whirlwind weekend. He beckons you, the listener, to let the animal out. Be predatorial. Take your lioness. ROAR."

Army Of 2600 twists and tortures the sounds and sights of the classic Atari console into grinding, synthed-out industrialized jams. Far from being a typical chipmusic album, this is chip abuse at its finest.

Tristendo's music is always a well-crafted blend of the playful and bizarre, often very technical and sometimes truly experimental. Here he is presenting Datathrash's first NES/FDS based release. As a special treat, there's also a remix from another master experimentalist, Neil Baldwin!

A special message from Chad:

The album artwork was made by one of the talented artists from the Brunswick Center Adult Services Art Program.
I work with people who have disabilities and I really hate to say that because the people I support everyday are far from limited or disabled and they enhance my life greatly. ALL THE MONEY from any sale of this album will go right to the art program at BCS and the wonderful artist who made this for me. So even if you aren't fond of the music please considering donating anything to help keep these awesome artists well stocked with supplies!

"Welcome to Chuggtune.........."

As 100HandSlap, Michael Routledge combines chip elements with heavy metal instrumentation and powerful vocals to produce a signature sound that both lofi-electronic fans and rock aficionados can instantly appreciate but with enough depth to suck you deep into his Chuggtune® world. Crank it up, soak it in, and find yourself hoping that "Year One" is just one of many to come!

Download includes lyrics, alternate cover, and LSDJ-only versions of all 4 tracks.

Sean Monistat is +Let's Disinfect!+ He's also an active musician since 1999 with interests from drum and bass to the trashy horrorpunk found here. Creepy, understated vocals blend with a variety of live and chip instruments to turn your brain into a skeevy, smoky punk club full of dudes that want to punch Glenn Danzig in the face. But in a good way.

"From 2009 - 2011, I had a series of intense, disturbing nightmares: a cycle of anxiety consistent though my waking and unconscious moments. This album was written and conceived as the direct soundtrack to these nightmares, and serves a spiritual successor to the album "On One Condition". Like previous works by Da Pantz, this final album is a project of autobiography, a composition of personal disclosure, and an attempt to cope with the sense of helplessness that pervades the human psyche when dealing with trauma. "Mute." aspires to engage tragedy before overcoming it; this is your invitation to do the same." - Da Pantz

The final Da Pantz album.
This also marks exactly 1 year since the first DTR release.  This is a very fitting anniversary present.  smile

PS:  I'll keep all the album announcements in this thread from now on.

saved for updates

IMO, this is your opus. Intricately layered, yet hard hitting sound design that asks, "What is lsdj?" and then proceeds to punch a gameboy in the face.

I listened to this, and I felt like this:

yeah, tbh makes me think this single thread for all datathrash releases may not be the best idea...going to be a lot of confusing shit in the thread after another release or two yikes

OptiMommy is the clear highlight of this new Datathrash tape

Oh and the Gangnam Style remix.

True.  I feel like I'm starting way to many threads on here tho.  We'll see how it works for a while.

haha, sok to start a lot of release threads if the label is releasing a lot wink
