The Headmaster Ritual

By lynit on January 23, 2010 7:09 am

Just uploading this to say I have a song or two on my profile.

Cover of the Smiths song, done for the Smiths compilation headed by JH&T. This is the version featuring George Van Wetering (lead singer of indie band Monokino) on vocals.

Let me know what you guys think. Thanks!

Good to hear, guys.

What do you think of the vocals? EQ'd well, etc?

Yeah, this needs a new mixdown. Too much bass, everything is smeared together.

It sounds freaking muddied, and that's bothering me. The bass is powerfull, but it buried it all, except the vocals. Such a great song, but I think this don't make justice. I hated the effects on the voice in the "lalalayey" part. Overall is a good cover, but it has it's "but"s.
