[48 HOUR CHALLENGE] NUBRK48H

By motone on February 9, 2010 3:51 pm

akira^8GB challenged me to do a nu breaks track within 48 hours. Well, here it is. Enjoy! Made with LSDJ + some FX in Reaper.

(This is 2nd version, fixed the glitchy snares)

I enjoyed this tracks progression as well as it's  overall sound design. I wasn't too settled with the kick, as it sounded somewhat flat and toned rather to a more sub low-end kick.

Overall, impressive and nice work!

@8GB: what's up in april? (seems I'm not up to date...)

I was hoping you'd use the Nanoloop 2 though, for banging SUBLOOOOOOW. It's a bit missing despite the processing (which is spot on)i just because the Game boy is awful.

It's a bit more Prodigy than Rennie Pilgrem (only because of the rhythm arrangement of only 2 kicks per bar) but I totally love this track!!! The detuned leads that enter around 1:45 are  incredible.

I hope we can play together in Germany next April big_smile

hahah you even have those nu breaks style drum dropzzzz, like what the plump djs have in every single song!
