yeeaahhh, after listening to my other snares, I thought the exact same thing. The 'snare' is that different from the 'hi-hats'. And yeahhh, I loveee FM. It's amazing the kinds of patches you can get out of a bunch of sine waves. ;D
i thought that snare could do with being bigger, it might give the song more rhythm. or maybe use a 2nd crunchier bigger sound for the ones on the 2nd and 4th beat?
fm is nice, i should have some GB and FM stuff out soonishhhh.
