Pressure (LSDJ Demo)

By ATKstat on Jan 16, 2017 7:02 pm

This is an LSDJ-only demo of a song I'm working on. Eventually it's going to have a few more instruments worked in, but I'm looking for feedback on this portion. Thanks, in advance!

Thanks for the advice!

kudos on writing in 7! it can be somewhat of a pain to do but you've pulled it off. sounds like you're off to a good start!

suggestions I would make are the following: maybe try some variation in the volume envelopes of the pulse channels. the pulses sound quite loud throughout the tune, but there is actually plenty of dynamic range you can work with. this will help build intensity in the song (or diminish the intensity) so if you have reduced the volume for one section, you can increase the volume for the next section for example, since you have somewhere to go (and vice versa). another thing you might try involving the volume envelopes is echoing notes (aka delay) which can add more interest. and don't be afraid to experiment with panning left/right as well. hope this helps!
