Safe Banana

By Cam on Jul 5, 2014 5:50 pm

A song I made in LSDJ. I haven't made anything in LSDJ before this, so I guess this is considered my first song. I can't really speak for how it sounds myself. Lemme know what you think, though. I know it needs work, but what work it needs exactly and how I can achieve that is what I really wanna know.

i like the squeaky things e.g. 1.14 brdrdrd -- feels calm and steady and a bit sleepy, maybe a little flat, sort of plods along, actually quite like a safe banana, totally enjoyable -- do you want it to feel more lively, is that what you're after? what happens if you just speed it up? i reckon if you play with the rhythm in the bass instrument it'll get more energy - rather than have all the instruments (drums, bass, melody) hit the beat so evenly try skipping a beat, hitting off-beats, that sort of thing? enjoy!

This makes me feel safe, and like eating a banana, I like bananas and being safe. I really like the title. I like you.

Quite enjoyable, really. The melody works because of your variation on the theme. Cool little track. The bridge/outro might be a bit bland, but that's not really helpful smile It seems like you've got the hang of it well enough and got across what you're trying to accomplish. More is probably learned from asking other people how they accomplished certain sounds on their tracks. We don't know what you were trying for and may have fell short of from your perspective.

I thought this was just wonderful. I listened to it a number of times and just got better, Great work!
