That's a good start! I'd maybe try and make your instruments unique. Dig deeper into each instrument you make... spend an hour or so on one instrument at first. It may seem weird to you now, but try to get them not to sound too much like a gameboy/cold computer. It's the interesting sounding programming that really attracts my ears%u2013anyway.
