Always wise words

Read the manual; it explains everything, and there is even some little walk-throughs with images of the parameter screens that shows you how to make your own drum sounds with various channels.  Learn how to use the various command's, both in the phrase screens and tables and you will very quickly see how much you can vary your sounds just with some inventive use of the commands.

You can also hit youtube and you will find 100's of tutorials showing how to use different functions or how to make specific sounds.

Another great way to learn is to look at other people song files and see how they are doing things.  Sites like http://lsdsng.com/ are your firend for this kind of thing.

It also pays to spend some time just messing with the wav channel.  Lay out a simple pattern and then let it loop while you mess with the parameters or re-draw the waveform manually and see how it alters the sounds.

You obviously know how to compose, but taking the time to learn how to properly utilize the features/limitations will take you in new directions you just wont get with straight pulses and samples.  The more you experiment, the better understanding you build on how to effectively create the sounds you want.

As far as modding a gameboy, don't even bother if you are just learning.  Just get yourself a working gameboy and a flash cart and start messing with things.  Or run the rom in an emulator.  I honestly do most of my composition/ground work/idea-building at work with an emu and transfer the files back and forth when I get home.

Infinity Curve, You Know Your Stuff. I Didnt Use The Noise Chan.

I Will Take These Ideas And Work On Them. I Started To Use 2 Or 3 Sounds On PU1 (Altho You Are Right And They Dont Sound Much Different.

I Wrote This To See If It Was Worth Me Buyin LSDJ For Real And Moddin My DMG-01

Is There A PDF Or Summit To Help With The Program Side Of LSDJ? I Always Use Reason And This Was Alot Harder TO Use.

Composition is not bad, but maybe take some time to learn how to use the various parameters to vary your sounds; un-modulated square waves get boring fast.

Also, learn how to make drum sounds using the other channels and save your wav channel for other things. It doesn't sound like you used the noise channel at all, and used the sample kits on the wav for all percussion.  You could make the kicks with a pulse or even with the wav channel(even the noise channel) and then use the noise for snares and cymbals, leaving your wav channel wide open for whatever you want.  Keep in mind you can do lots of different sounds within each pattern on each channel, so don't get locked into just using each channel for one sound.

Nice first effort!  Keep at it!
