Dot Matrix Showers (LSDJ & Acoustic Guitar)

I wrote this song using LSDJ and recorded the acoustic guitar in my bathroom with my laptop...which made me think of the name lol.

keep it up! this is good stuff.

thanks for the CC guys, my setup is REAL low budget DIY but i'm learning.

I like this song . The first time I heard it I didn't know there was a guitar though! I would bring out the high end of the guitar just a bit, and make some room in the mix for it. Pull back some of the 'middy' instruments in the chip part like roboctopus says, and notch out a place in the mid section for the guitar with EQ, where ever it sounds nice.

Another thing that I usually do with acoustic guitar is pull back the low end just a bit, especially if the song is crowded. The bass of it can take up a lot of real estate, and if you do that you can turn up the overall volume of the guitar. Just some quick thoughts...cool song though esp for a bathroom session.

Always good to hear some LSDJ and acoustic guitar!  smile

Though I thought the guitar was a little overwhelmed/muddied by the chip.  I think the two elements are competing for sonic space in the mid range.  I often find when I use an acoustic guitar in the mix with the Game Boy that it is necessary to scale back the chip a bit to make them mesh.  (by scale back I mean less going on in the LSDJ part, not lower volume, i.e. lower the arps, etc.)

Fun tune though!
