VRC7 MODULATE experiment

By Je Mappelle on Aug 4, 2012 4:26 pm

I just wanted to see how this would sound via the nsf plugin on this website, I might upload a separate version where it sounds normal.

Takes advantage of the MODULATE lvl on the vrc7 chip. Composed in famitracker.

Very nice sound.

Make this into a complete song darn it.  So good.

out of curiosity, which version of famitracker did you use for this?  the tune itself sounds great but the way it sounds is a little "clicky" when some notes are played

Woah, awesome!  Diggin' the side chain.

wow, how?

famitracker. HOW CAN IT SOUND LIKE THIS

i really like it sir, started to mess around with VRC7 as well, really fun. keep on it, i wanna hear the rest if/when you finish it.

Whenever I read "Je Mappelle" and "VRC7" in the same post, a little tingle shoots through my loins. wink

Ahhh the only reason it does that is due to the NSF player, some of the notes are actually missing too. I really just wanted to hear how clean NSF export was these days. :U

I actually like the raspy sound. Reminds me of Raise the Bells by Folk Implosion. Gets a little too scratchy at parts though. If there is a way you could maintain the muffled static without the sound of the scratchy clipping that would sound perfect.

this sounds really bad...
