I'm immediately drawn in by this smooth pairing of lead and bass, and I am happily rewarded with a building melodic progression afterwards.
The climbing bass at 1:06 is a true pleasure to follow, and the lead duels with it nicely in the following measures.
I'm not certain if I feel the absence of drums or not, it carries itself so well without them. I would jam on my drums to this for sure.
