It basically make the arrow along the right side, when playing a phrase, move down with a little pizazz. It doesn't just go straight down with the same momentum the whole way when u set the groove to 2/4 or 1/5. Numbers like that keep the same speed as 3/3 but make playback have a little...bounce I guess u could say. Hard to explain....
