I think that the bass could come up in the mix as well. As for adding vox... that will be saved for a live treat some time in the near future.

I'd have to agree with bleo, and also add some vocals! I really dig the original song, and I think you can really do it justice!
I like the vibrato on the lead in the chorus. The awesomest part of the original is the funkyass bassline and the culmination of said funk in the insaneo bass fill followed by the same bass fill played in reverse. I can live w/o the fill in a cover, but I'd really like to hear your bassline funkified and then brought up in the mix a bit. But that's just me.
