BM: Education, MM: Music Composition
I'm a composer, arranger, performer (admittedly it's been a while), and educator. I've performed in Rock, Jazz, Classical, Pit-Orchestras, and even a Polka Band. I love all aspects of music and chiptunes is just one of a few new skillsets I've been working on.

I've been focusing on EDM (Trance in particular, don't hate) and happened to go to a panel on classic video-game music at a retro game convention. It got me interested in what could be done in the small-bit world. Found my Gameboy, got the LSDJ ROM onto an SD cartridge and I've started playing with it.

I'm not a total n00b when it comes to computer/electronic music but it was never something I focused on. But now I'm putting in an effort to teach on old dog new tricks. Having grown up with the Atari 2600, Commadore C64, NES, SNES, Sega, up to the current systems. Add to that a background in music education, performance on numerous instruments in various styles, and an advanced degree in Music composition and you get me! A house-spouse with delusions of someday making money with music again!

I'm looking forward to checking things out around here! I'm sure it'll be intermittent at best, followed by small bursts of activity, but that's just how it is. Time to try and make some music! / ShemS76's Profile
