For SounDevotion Competition Round 71

This is slightly different from the version turned in for the compo, based on the suggestions given in comments.

Created from SID samples with mostly FM sounds from Kamiooka VST, tracked in Renoise.

Thank you- This piece was improvised in a such a way that I don't remember why I wanted to do it like that. I recall checking to make sure one part didn't sound too much like the Ristar pre-title screen.

I have since made a version with a speech synth vocal (part scatting, part pad) overlaid, which can be heard at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYuEvBDLJLI

From it, I've found that the more layers of speech synth you put on something, the more likely it is to sound like a synthesizer and less like people singing.

And the call-and-response @ 2:10 is lovely. My favorite part.

I really like the pitching on that snare.

Thanks, I updated the description with instrumentation.

Very nice track! Perfect for a sunday morning!
