My cat is my fan number one, and he's always around me when I'm composing (sometimes walking on my keyboards), so I thought to dedicate a song to him.

This song was created on an Atari 520 STe, using MusicMon v2.5. The song contains 5 YM instruments for the different melodies and 2 digital instruments for the drums. The audio from the Atari was recorded to MP3 with a Audacity. No effects nor equalization, direct sound from the Atari as it is.

Hi carlschultz, thanks a lot for your comments. I really appreciate it.

I'll follow your comments concerning the drum sounds.

I know the mood is difficult to get if you don't know my cat :-) Sounds strange, but It works for me. Remains me of him jumping, running and messing around, but I do understand is difficult for other to get this from just a song.

Having said that, yes this is a kind of Work In Progress that I'll have to develop a bit more.

Once again, thanks for your comments.

maybe it's just my (really shitty) speakers but the snare (?) drum sounds super soggy, like it's been stretched out really badly, i would make a better recording of it at the pitch you need (or find a better/more appropriate sample that sounds good coming out of an atari) -- i like the irregular lop-sided rhythm that's neat, overall the composition is alright, a bit vague? is there an idea or a mood behind it or are you just experimenting with instruments and rhythms? i don't really get anything from it -- oh also you could consider looking at the development of the track, it feels a little like it trucks along without going anywhere? keep at it!!! big_smile
