Thanks, it probably would sound better with shuffled drums, but I wanted to try a straight beat. And as far as the repetitive nature of that section, I ran out of ideas 
I have no knowledge of 1-bit competitions though, where are these at?
nice stuff, very relaxed! i'd suggest to shuffle the drums a bit more though. also it gets a bit repetative from 0:55-1:30, maybe bring in a different theme there. anyway looking forward to hearing more 1bit stuff from you. you might wanna save up your next works though, there might be another 1bit competition very soon.
