But for homebrew games, freeware music composers and players you dont need to have HDD...
Simply whole OS boots from ROM and than use FDD emulator with 32GB sd card smile for example.

BTW ATARIST TOS has same 720KB disk structure as MSDOS so you can read and write files on PC.
Not as on AMIGA with special 880KB format...

For others who doesnt own ATARI STs... Hmm there will be MISTBoard something like Raspberry PI but ATARI and AMIGA compatible...

4MB are pretty enough, remember that AMIGA1200 had 2MB and ATARI FALCON 030 4MB...
50% ATARI ST software needs 512KB ram, another 48% 1MB ram and 1% or 2% more than 1MB RAM. Remeber STE is 1989 or 1990 maschine!!! yikes) 4MBs was like 48GB RAM in that time...

Truth is that there was only 61 games usig STE gpu and sample soundchip...

Sadly the STe doesn't have onboard IDE so any sort of CF card integration isn't easy.

Check maxYMiser too, it seems to make a lot more sense to me than MusicMon.
