]]>h, OK then we are on the same page. I think I didn't realize how much of his percussion was samples because a lot of those sounds could be synthesized with LSDj.
But they wouldn't sound exactly the same, and they wouldn't have that dirty sampled buzzy noise that we love so much.
Personally, I don't get using drum samples with LSDj simply because of how good it is for synthesizing your own drums from scratch. That's half the fun for me.
Sometimes you just want a certain sound, regardless of how you get that sound. For me, manipulating samples in LSDJ is incredibly rewarding and satisfying and fun. Sometimes I barely even use the other 3 channels.

]]>Also, for my track that you mention; you are comparing something I did live to sequenced drums. I made that in under an hour, hoping if nitro2k01 heard somebody using it, he would continue developing it further. I actually tried to make it cliche and sound like generic 90's jungle, sirens and gunshots and boh!! It's a 1 second amen loop and I'm glitching/stuttering it on the fly while triggering samples and mixing between the melody and bass, come on.
I am still relatively new to LSDj compared to some here, and haven't shared anything because I don't want to release anything I am not satisfied with.
I will put something up when I get home from work. It's actually the first track I did, and used it for learning tricks and different techniques.
I'm sorry if I overstepped myself commenting on his music, it's just my opinion. I'm sure my stuff probably pales in comparison, but that's cool too. The intention with my comments was not to infer I could do better, just commenting on what he did.
