Yeah I'm gonna stand up and show some love for samples in LSDJ as well. The way LSDJ compresses and distorts samples gives them a very interesting and unique sound. I mean I also dig synthesizing my own drums as well, but sometimes samples are the way to go. Still pretty proud of some WAV channel only stuff I've done - http://datathrash.bandcamp.com/track/antichipmusick

That said, I don't see what the fuss is about this kraettz stuff, seems super basic and kind of boring to be honest. Compare that stuff to this (since they're kinda similar): https://soundcloud.com/wetmango/latenightcreepin

Or this, though SUPER NSFW: https://soundcloud.com/wetmango/overflo … s-wetmango

All of this is obviously super off topic...

haha, I did step on some toes. I simply shared an opinion on his music, and shared some of my own thoughts on LSDj. Like I said, it did grow on me as I listened to it a few times. I just don't like his style so much. My initial post/impression may have been a bit harsh, I will admit that.

Also, for my track that you mention; you are comparing something I did live to sequenced drums. I made that in under an hour, hoping if nitro2k01 heard somebody using it, he would continue developing it further. I actually tried to make it cliche and sound like generic 90's jungle, sirens and gunshots and boh!! It's a 1 second amen loop and I'm glitching/stuttering it on the fly while triggering samples and mixing between the melody and bass, come on.

I am still relatively new to LSDj compared to some here, and haven't shared anything because I don't want to release anything I am not satisfied with.

I will put something up when I get home from work. It's actually the first track I did, and used it for learning tricks and different techniques.

I'm sorry if I overstepped myself commenting on his music, it's just my opinion. I'm sure my stuff probably pales in comparison, but that's cool too. The intention with my comments was not to infer I could do better, just commenting on what he did.
