Yep. I have a teal one. It has all the text except the NINTENDO Game Boy logo.

In that case, yeah, its paint. I was trying to justify the non-teal color with a poor photo, but the buttons are the correct colors. The paint job doesn't look bad though. lol

there was no text because the spray paint was covering it.

Could be, yeah. I once bought a Red DMG on fleaBay for next to nothing because of the washed-out photo. It looked yellow with grey buttons, but the surroundings in the room were also washed-out. Could be the same case, the picture is pretty poor.
