I'm gonna install a prosound mod to my DMG-01 (already installed a backlight).
A lot of tutorials (more common) drill a hole in the case and install the new jack. However some gameboys for sale don't use that method, and instead install the jack in the old jack spot (where it would be without mod).

Can I just remove the board that contains the old jack, and solder in the new jack there, with the same connections shown in every tutorial? Or will this cause problems?
