			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Not academic, but in my anecdotal experience I&#039;ve seen that since videogames are such a part of pop culture over there (like tv and movies here), that chip music is not seen as such a weird unknown thing.&nbsp; Because of that, you hear a lot more videogame references, remixes, and covers in their music.&nbsp; You DON&#039;T find that so much in the western scene because chip music is still trying to find an identity independent of videogames.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>In my final paper for my post-war Japan class, I&#039;m trying to argue that for Japan, chipmusic is kind of the perfect embodiment of the mechanics of Japanese modern/postmodern culture (wherein the traditional meets the future and merge to become the present, as argued by Hiroki Azuma). I was wondering if a) anyone knows of any good academic resources about chipmusic and b) if so, if any involve the Japanese scene.</p>]]></content>
