i think the spray stuff you are looking for is masking spray.  not sure how its sold in stores (branded and whatnot)

Triforse for example. You put it on the shell and paint. Result: you have triforce painted on the shell. What if I want to paint everything but the triforece? In other words - invert the stencil. But without cutting new one.

I've heard there's some kind of acrylic medium that can be easily removed, but I can't remember exactly...

Is it possible?
