Probably will try SketchMan's method first. I've already filled the pulse and wave channels. I'm using an MGB, so we'll see what it can do.

I tried it out.  My DMG does fine, but strangely my AGB has trouble.

I actually got something kinda like that (aiming for a tambourine) in Famitracker. I don't know how comparable it is to LSDj, but i'll post the .ftm so you can look at it. Controlling the noise modes is much more straightforward in Famitracker :\ Sorry I don't have an lsdj thing to share.

You can see in the Duty/Noise section (double-click the crickets instrument) i have it alternating between one frame of periodic noise (1) and one frame of the "white noise" (0). don't ask me why i did it twice, lol. Anyway, hope that helps.
