I'd be willing to bet it's something to do with the "room adjustment" feature.  The quickstart guide says it has a pink noise generator that's used in that process.  Maybe re-check your manual and make sure it's definitely off?

I'm guessing you're running it on batteries so it's not power line noise...

I have a Roland M10DX digital mixer.  Ever since I've gotten it it's had some odd noise issues in the background.  It has a room acoustic feature that helps a bit.  I don't get the noise anywhere else using the same cables, etc.  What am I missing?
