Bearing in mind I use linux and know nothing of the mysterious mac world.

If not, I remember installing xcode before, but don't even know if that's usefull.

I've tried this one a few times. Not sure If I'm doing something wrong.

I downloaded it, and installed it into Applications. I open the read me and it says

On Mac, prior to building you must install pkgconfig and libusb from
ports, like so:

sudo port install pkgconfig
sudo port install libusb

(thanks to hyarion for this info)

I try putting it in Terminal and it says

Name-MacBook-Pro:~ name$ sudo port install pkgconfig
sudo: port: command not found
-MacBook-Pro:~ Name$ sudo port install libusb
sudo: port: command not found
Name-MacBook-Pro:~ Name$

Am I going wrong somewhere?

Just curious when will a standalone program be made to back up a 64 EMS usb cart on a MAC/OSX OS? Surely it can't be that hard to create if it exists for the programs above?
