If it's that much of a concern for you, I suggest getting a Kitsch GBC front light and use the LOCA method with it.

Why does the rough side need to face away from the lcd? If I used enough LOCA to fill in the rough side, would that way work?

Curious, as I'm about to do this mod, and was wondering if rough side LOCA'd up and against the lcd with smooth side facing out would yield better results.
