I can see what you mean about repeating though... <img src="https://chipmusic.org/forums/img/smilies/hmm.png" width="15" height="15" alt="hmm" /> I find that the best way to avoid repeating things is to force yourself to write new patterns, and rather than just looping a pattern that you&#039;ve already written, re-write the pattern so that it builds with the other instruments. Even copying patterns and then changing them to add fills and slightly different parts can make a track sound very different. Using fills is an especially handy trick that keeps a track moving along, so keep that in mind! I can make a melody and know how to make interesting and cool instruments I just always feel awkward repeating things too much and I would really like some advice/ tips on structuring songs.</p>]]></content>
