Just popped Decades into Audiograbber and it appears to be logged in Freedb, and in Mp3tag the cover art appears on amazon.com and discogs , but neither show the track titles.

Actually CD-Text is what I'm talking about. Looks like it's more universal than I thought though, in the sense that it's a readily usable extension to the Red Book standard, enjoying limited native hardware or software support, leaving it arcane enough that it's almost never used. I still don't know what you are talking about! I burn CDs all the time and all the metadata shows up in my Honda Fit, as well as on my Sony stereo system, thanks to CD Text. On the other hand, most CDs are tagged when we put them in our computers by comparing the track lengths with a remote database like Gracenote or Freebase, which is sadly much more reliable than hoping anything like CD Text is put to good use. For a new, indie release like Decades, there usually isn't an entry in these databases... for shame, really.

Just annoying though because the CD didn't have the ID3 tags or album art embedded.

Ditto... I'm guessing this was Amazon's fault?
