I'm trying to sync my NL 1.7.6 running on a Game Boy Colour, to a NL 2.7.9 running on a GBA SP.

I found this video, where it's said that I have to hit A+B in 2.X (2.3 was the version from the video) when hovering the bpm option.
Like in the video, the darker square stopped running through the sequencer and kept beeing at the top left.
But when I turned my GBC on with 1.7.6 in it, it didn't synchronize while they both were connected throughout a link cable.

The link cable Im using has two contacts at each end, 4 in total, 2 for GBC/GBA and 2 for DMG.

Is it maybe the kind of link cable I'm using, or is there another problem that might be the reason for the two Nanoloop versions not to sync?

Any help is appreciated

edit: spelling
