What's up bros.

I've been a Deflemask user for a bit, but I've always used premade patches for my instruments. I wanna get into doing my own synths. I gotta very basic groundwork on how FM works. Modulators, carriers, ratios, etc. But my sounds don't really hit right. Any advice? I can get a good bass going, a okayish guitar, but I'm struggling with more orchestral stuff. The song I'm doing now I need a sort of brass section, strings, harpsichord... What's the best approach? What are some good tutorials?
