Hey there, just found this forum and thought I'd check it out. Although I am a bassist primarily, covid restrictions pretty much killed live music for my band, so I started exploring composing in midi by myself. I really enjoy it and tho the tools I'm using are very limited, I've been able to put together 2 albums inspired by 2 of my favorite childhood NES franchises. The music is original, and not based on the games music, but inspired by the games overall and written in my own style.
