That's also the average age of the characters in the commercials.

It's better than someone singing to me and I like the bassline. I think they only use it in their commercials targeted towards younger audiences (20-30).

And at best it's an emulation of a calliope, but I don't really think they tried to do that.

The bassline doesn't sound like something that could come from a calliope to me.  I'm certainly not an expert on steam instruments, though.
