I got the random thought of tracking the delivery progress of the insert cable I ordered from Sweetwater since it's been awhile since I placed the order. I literally looked a minute ago on the website, found out it was delivered today, and placed on my front door. I went outside and there it was.

BRB, checking to see if I can wish other things to appear outside.

if you are going to plug it into a mixer the inset cable is what you will need. 

TRS is not really a stereo cable.  its a balanced audio cable http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balanced_audio

so if you plug it into a mixer you will not get stereo.  if you plan on plugging it into a mixer you are going to want an insert cable so you have a left and right pair.

I ended up getting that insert y-cable anyway. Is the one you posted just now stereo to stereo?

edit: nvm I'm guessing all TRS is stereo?

Either way, would you recommend the cable you listed above or the insert y cable?

35 dollars for a 10 foot 1/8 to 1/4 cable.  mogami cable and nice connectors but still.. damn

What specs did you pick for your cables?

mogami unbalanced dual cable.
10 feet
3.5mm conector basic one
2 1/4 TS cheap connectors for the other end.

its just that its a special order cable.  if i wasn't making an insert cable i'm sure it would be cheaper..   but then it wouldn't do what it needs to do
